When
ngmaster and I were planning and then doing our "Behind The Scenes" shoot, we realized something: Dave has taken at least one photo of me every single year since he got into photography--even before he was doing photoshoots.
This requires a retrospective.

With all this free time, I really should finally get around to posting about my living situation. Though technically it's really no one's business but our own, you guys are usually kind enough to listen to my ramblings, and you might be curious. I know I don't have to explain myself, but let's face it, I'm in love with the sound of my own voice/sight of my own writing.
You might have noticed that while my last name has changed (is changing--it's a PAIN IN THE ASS, for future reference), my address has not. Let me start by saying that Marvel and I are NOT cramming ourselves into a twin bed in my old bedroom in Dad's apartment--that'd be cute. No, we are not living with my father, but we *are* renting from my father. That's what the Secret Project I alluded to several times last year was--we were renovating the basement to make it livable again. When my grandparents originally owned the house, Grandpa had finished the basement, complete with a full kitchen, and they used to have parties down there, and most of our holiday dinners as the upstairs apartment doesn't have a dining room and the kitchen is too small for more than four or five people. When my parents owned the house, Dad installed another bathroom down there complete with shower stall, because an extra bathroom is ALWAYS a good idea. When my parents separated and I moved back to New York to live with my father, we lived in the basement apartment together for a year before moving back up to the "main" floor. The only reason it needed any work was that it hadn't been lived in since 1994, so it needed some minor repairs (and MAJOR cleaning), plus we wanted to redecorate it to suit us more, and we had had a small flood (since taken care of, it won't happen again), etc.
All that being said, why why why are we fulfilling the nerd stereotype of living in our parents' cellar? Well...

So, my boss is going to be out all week this week, so I have a little more time to myself. I still can't go nuts online as *he* never cared so much what I was doing on the computer, it was the IT department tracking me (and they still are), but I'll have enough free time that I'm feeling the urge to try new things. Only, in typical Crissy fashion, I can't decide what.
I thought I'd ask you guys for recommendations. What's something that you do that you enjoy that you think I should give a shot to? The only restrictions are it can't be something that requires hours of learning in order to do (such as knitting or crocheting) and it can't be something that requires money (such as belly dancing lessons) because I'm broke from the holidays. I'm thinking more along the lines of photography or making singing posts or RPing or something--preferably something I can do in a couple of hours or so, and preferably something computer related in some way so I can share it all with you.
Any suggestions?

I just finished reading a seriously epic fic and now I'm going to go crawl into bed.
But first, a Friday Five. I've never done one of these before.
The Friday Five for 18 December 2009
This week's questions are brought to you courtesy of
evel66, the letter F, and the number 5...
Morning Routine!
1. What time do you usually wake up on weekdays?
Somewhere between four AM and five AM.
1. What about weekends?
Whenever I feel like it. :D (Normally 'round ten-ish or so)
1. What do you eat for breakfast?
Cereal. Really sugary toasty cereal. Mmm.
1. Do you take a shower at night or in the morning?
Always after work. In the morning I am too zombie-like to care, but after work I smell like work and want that off of me plz. So showers happen after work.
1. How long does it take you to get ready?
Twenty minutes? I don't know, I've never actually checked. D:
And now, to sleep! It's misting outside and it looks like fog... or snow. I know it's not snow, but it looks like it.
Anyway, yes, still going to bed. Sleep well~ I'll actually have an actual post later.. hopefully. XD It's been a while since I last wrote here. Hm~
